Ardmore Golf Course would like to welcome Dave Morgan to the team as the new Assistant Superintendent, he will be joining us on March 15th and will be working under the guidance of our Superintendent, Greg deJong, as he gets accustomed to the course.
Mr. Morgan has a degree in Turf Grass Management from the University of Guelph and started his career in the Okanagan on the grounds crew at the Okanagan Resort. Dave moved to the west coast to pursue golf course maintenance fulltime and after working on both the Pender Island Golf Course and the Salt Spring Island Golf Course accepted the position of Superintendent of the Metchosin Golf Course. In 2004, Mr. Morgan entered the Sports Field Management side of the business working for the School District on Salt Spring Island maintaining a high level of turf conditions. Dave is very happy to be coming back to the golf industry. Mr. Morgan lives with his family in North Saanich and looks forward to working on the hidden jewel that is Ardmore Golf Course, meeting the members and playing the course so as to improve his game as well as the course conditions! |
